The famous Cat’s Meow is showcased for Indian Lake history with this shelf sitter design of Sandy Beach Bridge.

The SBB was built in 1924 by Samuel “Pappy” and French Wilgus and it connected the east of the amusement park to the west side where all the eateries were. The amusement park and bridge closed in the 70’s but the bridge remained standing.

In 2009 the Reed family and the Indian Lake Area Historical Society raised funds to revive the bridge. On August 23, 2014 there was a dedication of the Sandy Beach Bridge and it was attended by a large crowd of community members in support.

This wooden piece features a printed color design on the front and the history on the back.

It measures 6” wide x 3 3/4” tall x 3/4” deep.

All proceeds from this item are benefitting the Indian Lake Area Historical Society.
